Job Overview:
The Draftsperson role involves creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics using CAD software to support engineering, architectural, or construction projects. This position requires close collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet technical specifications and regulatory standards. The role includes updating existing drawings, maintaining technical documentation, and managing multiple projects to meet deadlines, contributing to the successful execution of projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Create detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software.
•Prepare architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, as required.
•Update and revise existing drawings based on project changes.
•Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify requirements.
•Develop and maintain accurate documentation for all drawings.
•Conduct self-checks and peer reviews to ensure drawing accuracy.
•Identify and correct discrepancies or errors in drawings.
•Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
•Assist in project planning and scheduling.
•Stay current with CAD software updates and industry best practices.
•Participate in training and professional development activities.
•Training on company-specific CAD standards and templates.
•Access to up-to-date CAD software and licenses.
•Documented drafting standards and quality assurance checklists.
•Project management guidelines and scheduling tools.
•Templates for technical documentation and drawing formats.
•Access to previous project archives for reference.
•Regular training sessions on new CAD features and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
•Associate degree or diploma in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in engineering or architectural environments.
•Proficiency in CAD software.
•Certification in CAD software is a plus.
